Past event: SAAM’s amazing new mural

Wander down to the South Australian Aviation Museum in Port Adelaide to see the new Vickers Vimy mural on  Hangar 1. It’s the handiwork of artist Janice Eames, with fellow SAAM member Stephen Nitschke helping with projection.

One of the mechanics on board the Vickers Vimy was SA’s Wally Shiers, who’d worked on Ross Smith’s aircraft in No. 1 Squadron during WWI. Join us as we pay tribute to Wally and celebrate his amazing role in this pioneering flight across the world. Centennial Park. 17 May. Learn more.
