Centenary of Darwin landing – Ross Smith Memorial re-dedication

A series of events across Adelaide will mark the centenary of the 10 December 1919 Darwin landing. Includes the re-dedication of the Sir Ross Smith Memorial on Memorial Drive near Adelaide Oval.

Thousands of V8 fans (including 3000 school kids) immersed themselves in the Epic Flight Centenary display in the Air Force Marquee, enjoying the stand-up banners, taking Ross Smith ‘selfies’, checking our the Air Ace’s war medals and marvelling at the Vimy model.
