In July 2019, the hard-working volunteers at the South Australian Aviation Museum unveiled their awesome Vickers Vimy mural with a dramatic sound and light show enjoyed by 170 people. Created by artist Janice Eames (assisted by SAAM member Stephen Nitschke) and illuminated by Cindi Drennan from Illuminart, the mural came to life with a roaring Merlin engine. The RAAF Association – SA Division sponsored this wonderful legacy project for the epic flight centenary year, with president Dr Robert Black officially opening the mural.
