Bad weather conditions were encountered during the next part of their journey, with torrential rain making flying challenging. With little place to land, they made their way to an airfield in Singora, which they found half submerged in water. As they made their landing, stumps took off their tailskid, forcing them to make repairs the next day. Convicts were sent to remove the stumps so that take-off was possibly.
