Sydney – plaque for Qantas airline “Ross Smith”

The Lockheed L-749 Constellation VH-EAA was built in 1947 for Qantas in Burbank, California, and arrived in Sydney’s Kingsford Smith airport on 14 October, 1947. The aircraft was named Ross Smith. Today, only a memorial plaque remains, and is held in the Qantas Heritage Collection in Sydney. To read a PDF offering further information, please click here.
